I love tote bags, but I especially love them in the summer. They are perfect for taking to the pool, the beach, the farmer’s market, you name it! This cute hand painted tote bag is so easy to make, you’ll want to make several!
Supplies:
- Fabric dye
- Canvas tote bag
- Large bowl or sink
- Fabric paint
- Foam brush
Instructions:
Step 1: First you will want to dye your bag. I forgot to take a picture of my tote in the dye process—oops! But all you have to do is follow the instructions on your fabric dye. Every dye is different, so read carefully!
Step 2: Let your bag dry completely. Then get ready to paint!
Step 3: Once your bag is dyed how you like it and has dried completely (I really can’t stress the dried part enough), we will add the paint! Grab your foam brush and fabric paint and carefully paint the dashes onto your tote. You could easily do polka dots or stripes, or spell out a summery word. No matter what you choose I am sure it will look awesome.
Once your paint is dry, your tote is ready to use! Happy summer!
