DIY Polaroid Magnets

Every mom loves photos of her children.* I keep them in my office, on my pin board, on my screensaver, on my coffee mug…you get the point. I have photos of these kids everywhere. These very easy to make washi tape DIY Polaroid magnets make the perfect Mother’s Day gift!

*Moms also love getting to sleep in, an uninterrupted shower that lasts longer than five minutes, and quiet time. Since that is not happening anytime soon, giving these magnets is a more realistic option.

Supplies:

  • Wooden Polaroid frames (available at craft stores like Michaels)
  • Washi tape
  • Craft knife
  • Cutting surface
  • Scissors
  • Magnet tape or little magnets (also available at craft/home supply stores)
  • Photos

Instructions:

Step 1: Cover the wooden parts of the frame with washi tape and cut the excess washi tape with the craft knife.

Step 2: Add your magnet tape or little magnet with a dab of glue to the back of the wooden frame. I have a fourteen month old at home, so I prefer magnet tape because those little magnets are dangerous for the young ones who put anything and everything in their mouths.

Step 3: You can tape the photos to the back of the Polaroid, but I left them loose, so I could switch out photos when I want!

Step 4: Add photos and stare at your little cuties all day!
