I’m a July baby, along with seventy-five percent of my family and my husband’s family. Needless to say, the Fourth of July usually turns into a pretty big bash. It’s summer, the temps are high, and the cold drinks are sweaty. These DIY mirrored star coasters are perfect for Independence Day, and a navy, gold, and aqua palette will become a festive favorite for many parties to come.
Supplies:
- 3″ square mirror tiles
- 1″ star craft punch
- spray paint or acrylic paint
- foam brushes
- scrapbook paper
- painter’s tape
- scissors
Instructions
Step 1: Punch out several stars from the scrapbook paper. Center one onto a mirrored tile and secure into position with painter’s tape. Only cover a portion of the star and coaster with tape.
Step 2: Using spray paint or acrylic paint, color the exposed portion of the coaster, and set aside to dry.
Step 3: Remove tape from the other half of the coaster and cover the painted portion with tape. Spray or use a foam brush to paint the newly exposed side. Remove tape and paper star. Set aside to dry.
