DIY Floral Wooden Letters

Wooden letter decor is a great way to personalize any room in your home! Whether they’re the initials of everyone in your family, or spell out your full first/last name, I have been seeing these sold in stores everywhere…but they come at a steep price tag in stores.

Decorated wooden letters are actually really easy to make; there’s no need to pay all that money for pre-finished letters. You can decorate them with fake flowers, washi tape, paint, fabric or anything you can dream up. The options are endless. Get creative and spice up your home decor with these floral wooden letters.  Get the simple tutorial below.

Supplies:

  • wooden letters
  • fake flowers (or any other decorative materials such as washi tape, paint, fabric)
  • hot glue gun

Instructions:

Step 1: We decided to decorate our letters with fake flowers. The first step of a two step process is adding a little dot of hot glue onto the back of the fake flower.

Step 2: Place the flower onto the wooden letter. Press and hold for a few seconds until the glue hardens.

Step 3: Line the entire letter with flowers!

Step 4: Repeat for all of your letters, or you can decorate each one differently.

You’re done! My letters spell out “IBT” for my blog, Inspired by This. I brought them into my office and everyone on staff loves them!
