When at home, kids are always running from one corner of the house to another. More often than not, they are playing hide and seek, tag, or just sliding across the floor thanks to their socks. While this might seem fun to them, it can sometimes be risky, especially if your family also consists of little ones. Banning your kiddos from running around the house will simply be unfair to them. After all, they are children, they should be having the time of their lives playing however they like. So, instead of yelling at your munchkins to slow down, why not try these DIY non-skid or non-slip socks?
Moreover, this trick works great on both normal and fuzzy socks, making them a great DIY for summer as well as winter socks. Also, why stop with your kids’ socks? You can try this DIY project for your socks as well. We all know the dread of suddenly feeling your feet skid while merrily walking around the house. You can try this craft to keep your feet warm while preventing slipping, especially during winter. With only a few things, you can easily make these DIY non-skid or non-slip socks.
The best part about this DIY is that it takes less than 15 minutes. You can make some for the grown-ups as well as the little ones in your family. In addition, you can use glow-in-the-dark puffy paint, which your kids will surely get a kick out of. Alternatively, if you are using colorful socks, going with basic black puffy paint is not a bad idea to make them stand out. However, if you plan to use plain white socks, you can create fun grippy designs on the bottom, treating the white ones almost as a canvas. Let your kids in on this DIY action, too, as they will be more than happy to help their parents make their home a little safer for their younger siblings.
