Pregnancy Style: Chic Summer Pieces That Aren’t from a Maternity Store

When you’re super pregnant in those warm summer months, it’s hard not to look at all the cute, perfect outfits floating around everywhere and feel a little envious. I was 9-months-pregnant with Marlowe in August in the San Fernando Valley of Los Angeles — which is basically the inferno. I was walking around my house essentially naked and jumping behind a bed sheet when the FedEx guy would come (not glamorous). This time around, I’m not due until the fall.

There are some great maternity clothes to be found, but sometimes they can be pricey. I have a hard time justifying spending a bunch of money on something I will only ever wear while I’m pregnant. And people who are pregnant during a totally different set of seasons than the last time, or even with their last child? I completely understand not wanting to shell out those extra bucks on a whole new set of maternity stuff.

This week I decided to put together a little list of some of the best NON-maternity summer pieces I’ve found that can remain in your wardrobe after that little bundle of joy has joined your family. Maybe even wear them next summer, too! I hope you like them as much as I do!
