Method

  1. To make the grilled chicken sandwich, preheat the grill to medium-high heat.
  2. Prick the chicken breasts with a fork, then place them in a large bowl. Add the olive oil, white wine vinegar, lemon juice, dill, garlic and herb seasoning, and black pepper to a bowl. Stir it all to coat the chicken breasts thoroughly. Leave it alone for ten minutes.
  3. Remove chicken breasts from the marinade. Discard the marinade.
  4. Then, cook the chicken on the preheated grill until it is no longer pink in the center, and the juices run clear (about 10 to 15 minutes per side). An instant-read thermometer inserted into the center should read at least 165 degrees Fahrenheit.
  5. Transfer the chicken to a cutting board. Leave it for five minutes, then cut the chicken breasts in half.
  6. Melt butter and two tablespoons of olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Following this, sprinkle garlic powder and salt over butter and oil. Then, add French bread slices to the skillet. Toast until golden brown on one side for about three minutes and remove from the pan.
