Healthy Cinnamon Tortilla Chips Recipe

Growing up, tortillas played a large part of my family meals, and my mother always made them for my sisters and me. So of course one of my favorite snacks—cinnamon tortilla chips—consisted of this Latin staple. These snacks were also a treat, since one of the key parts of the recipe is sugar—which means they were more of a once a week snack than a daily eat.

Now a mother myself, I make these tasty treats with just a bit of a twist on the traditional recipe. I swap a healthier tortilla in lieu of a flour tortilla and use more cinnamon than sugar in the sprinkle mixture. Easy to make, they take no longer than twenty minutes to whip up, and with a little help from mi hijo they are a yummy (and healthier) treat any day of the week.
