Baked apple fritters are one of our favorite fall treats.Tart granny smith apples are enveloped in a cinnamon batter and then baked on a cookie sheet until golden brown. A powdered sugar glaze adds the finishing touch. These fritters make a great after-school snack or dessert.
This recipe makes a small batch of six. Because if you’re like me, you have no self control when there are treats like these at your house. You can double the batch and freeze leftovers in a Ziploc bag for up to 3 months. I used all-purpose white flour but if you wanted to you could totally use whole wheat white flour.
