The first day of Spring is just around the corner (March 20) and I thought what better way to celebrate the hopefully impending warm weather than with a summer like drink.
It is Friday after all, we made it through another week so why not welcome the weekend with an easy to whip up Salty Chihuahua, a tangy version of a Margherita. This little dog has a bit of a bite so watch out. Happy Friday!
Salty Chihuahua
- 1 shot Tequila
- Grape Fruit Juice (Fresh squeezed keeps the sweetness in check)
- Salt
1. Salt the rim of a cocktail glass.
2. Pour Tequila over ice in the glass. Fill with grapefruit juice and add a dash of salt.
3. Take a sip and imagine you are on a beach sans kids, if just for a moment
Ankle Biters Chihuahua (non alcoholic)
- Sparkling Water
- Grape Fruit Juice (Fresh squeezed keeps the sweetness in check)
- Rock Sugar
1. Sugar the rim of a cocktail glass.
2. Fill the glass half full with sparkeling water and then with grapefruit juice.
3. Cheers your glass with your child and get ready for the weekend.
