I’m trying to grow my hair out, but the balayage hair color job I have is starting to show a lot of breakage at the ends. As a result, my dry, brittle hair seems to be worse this year than it ever has been before.
Luckily, I have a 3-ingredient DIY hair mask for dry hair that I break out a few times a year once fall hits and continue using regularly through spring. This simple, organic hair mask consists of just 3 ingredients, smells absolutely amazing, and takes just 10 minutes of your time. I’ll whip it up after my son goes to bed and slather it on a few minutes before I hop in the shower.
Ingredients
- 2 Tablespoons of Organic Unrefined Extra Virgin Coconut Oil
- 1 Egg
- 5 Drops of Rosemary Oil
Coconut Oil is a moisturizing agent filled with an endless list of benefits to our bodies such as Vitamin E and fatty acids. It will also help with frizzy hair, gloss, and shine. The egg yolk will strengthen your hair while the egg white will help moisturize. Rosemary oil is used widely for hair care, particularly because of its assistance in hair growth, so if your husband is balding, massage a few drops of this stuff on his head too.
Directions
Begin by lightly beating the egg. Add in the Coconut & Rosemary Oil and mix well. Generously lather your hair from scalp to end with the mixture and let sit for 5-7 minutes. Rinse and wash out with shampoo and you’re all done!
Once warmer weather and humidity hits, I switch over to this DIY hair mask for normal hair.
