While her husband may be Magic Mike, Jenna Dewan Tatum’s style possesses its own kind of magic that inspires my closet on the daily. Fourteen-month-old Everly’s mom artfully mixes classic pieces, rad sneakers, romantic blouses, boho-esque tunics, and marvelous maxi dresses into the loveliest looks. Live by these five style tips and channel your very own Jenna Dewan Tatum style this summer!
Invest in Spring Staples that Work Year Round

The classics have lived to tell their fashion tales for a reason—their timeless designs transcend seasons and trends, and look great on every body type. Jenna’s head-to-toe classic look—khaki trench coat, navy striped boatneck tee, medium wash skinny jeans, chestnut suede booties, leather tote, and deep red nail polish—look insta-fab together and mixed separately with other items in your closet, too. Style tip: Stock up your closet with these classic items and watch your stylish everyday outfits multiply!
Love Leggings? Look Stylish, Not Lounge-y

As a new mom trying to juggle 30 things every day, leggings quickly became my new fashion best friend. But leggings can go quickly from downtown gal to gym rat—my style downward spiral came when my legging looks were head-to-toe “I just rolled out of bed or came from the gym.” Think sweatshirts, flip flops, plain white tees. When I saw Jenna rocking these rad gold and black sneakers with a lightweight denim shirt (and fabulous makeup and hair—a mom can dream, right?), my legging outfits were revitalized with black Nike Flyknits, Gap chambray shirts, and Vince drapey tees. Style tip: Up the style ante on your legging looks with a pair of stylish sneakers, denim (or surplus) anything, and feminine cotton tops.
Dress Up Your Denim with a Date-Worthy Top

When the hubs and I have enough energy—and a babysitter—to have date night, the thought of putting together a sexy date outfit can be daunting. Jenna’s pairing of this waist-hugging off white blouse with her deconstructed jeans and fabulous heels gives me hope that I can swap out my comfy tee and flats for something like this. Style tip: Pick a few curve enhancing tops (no plunging neckline necessary) and fierce heels for your date-night outfit arsenal.
Be Boho Beautiful
California girls aren’t the only ones who can rock the free-loving boho look. Breezy, ultra-feminine cotton tunics are a must in my summer closet—they look dreamy with anything and everything. The basics are roll-up linen shorts, cotton capris, leggings, and the groovy denim bell-bottom. Style tip: Instead of showing skin in the heat, show your style coolness with a lightweight cotton tunic this summer!
Say Yes to the Maxi Dress

Maxi dresses are a mom’s best fashion friend. It’s one of the easiest ways to say NO to the jeans-and-tee uniform and feel feminine while on the go with our tiny humans. There are no words to express how much I adore Jenna’s combo of this drop dead awesome printed maxi dress with…flip flops. We can do this! Style tip: Say YES to the maxi dress and find a few—solid neutrals, mini scale prints, and large bold graphic multi-prints—to sizzle up your summer looks!
